| Felting Workshops 20th April and 12th October 2008, 10am ~ 5pm ![]()
Learn the craft of felting at these two workshops being held at the museum in 2008 and being led by tutor Mica Trace. The first workshop on 20th April will be a Japanese felting workshop where students will learn how to make a lightweight felt, also known as Nuno felt which is used to make clothing. The second workshop on the 12th October will be Felting in 3-D to make yourself a warm hat or a pair of cosey mittens. The courses will run on site, with a base in the Delanoy Visitor Centre. Most materials are provided but students will need to bring a few basic household items with them such as towels and a tape measure. A full list will be provided on application. Please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing. There are toilets and plenty of parking on site. Tea and coffee will be provided. There is a maximum of 10 places on each day, so please be sure to book in advance.
