Step back in time and join us for a Special Event celebrating the 80th Anniversary of VE Day!
We’re excited to welcome you to our annual 1940s Re-enactment Weekend – a highlight of the year and a firm favourite in our calendar. The museum will come alive with the sights, sounds, and spirit of the 1940s, offering a truly immersive experience for all ages.
Throughout the weekend, historical re-enactment groups will be onsite, bringing history to life with authentic displays, demonstrations, and stories from the era. Enjoy live music from the period, get involved in engaging children’s activities, and explore a variety of interactive exhibits and entertainment.
It’s a perfect way to commemorate this significant milestone in history, honouring the bravery and resilience of those who lived through the Second World War.
More details to follow soon – save the date and prepare to be transported back in time!
Please note, this is a Special Event so all visitors are required to pay for admission. Annual Passes are not valid and will not be issued. English Heritage Members pay a reduced admission rate of £5 adult and £3 child.
